Bourbon & Honey – Styled Wedding Photoshoot
Adaumont Farms Wedding Inspiration
This shoot was such a fun mix of masculine and feminine, with lots of leather, gold foil and fluffy flowers. Hues of amber, mustard, taupe and burnt orange helped make up our warm and toasty color palette. Although we originally planned to setup most of the shoot outside by large Oak trees, the April showers had other plans, and luckily Adaumont Farm’s wood paneled barn walls were the perfect backdrop for this cozy combination of colors and textures.
Our inspiration came from the hope to appeal to a bride who might not crave lots of glittery details and bubbly champagne toasts. We wanted to attract the more organic and earthy type of girl who reaches for a local bourbon and honey on the rocks when she’s looking for something to sip on.
By adding tons of lush floral arrangements and white candles we were able to seamlessly balance out the weight of the deep wood grains and leather lounge sofa. The gold foil invitation suite and vow booklets meshed perfectly with the gold splattered macarons and the gorgeously unique honeycomb cake.
The bride’s intricate fishtail braid and naturally golden makeup were the perfect look to compliment her flowing long-sleeved gown with floral lace details. The bride quickly changed into a shorter white cocktail dress for their exit out of the massive barn doors at the end of the evening.
This photoshoot really goes to show that with the right venue and a hardworking team of vendors, you can still create your dream wedding on a dark and stormy, bourbon on the rocks kind of day.
