As many of you know, the flu is going around like crazy right now and it is no joke once you get it. Kelcey and Jeff’s photographer contacted me the day before their Raleigh wedding asking if I could take over since there was just no way she could work with the flu. I was so happy Casey and I didn’t have plans that Saturday and were able to make the drive to The Stockroom at 230 in Raleigh for this gorgeous Winter wedding.
The burgundy, green and gold were the perfect color palette for the old hardwoods and industrial-brick filled venue. Kelcey and her maids got ready in the gorgeous Glass Box , with floor to ceiling windows that overlooked downtown Raleigh. The two met while attending NC State University in Raleigh, and even managed to make a long distance relationship work for a while after they graduated. The love between them was so sweet and genuine, everyone who was in the room could tell they were absolutely meant to be married.
Jeff’s brother set up a huge surprise for the school spirited bride and groom that was definitely one for the books. He invited the NC State mascots to make an appearance at the reception, and he even texted me the night before to make sure I was in on it so I could photograph their reactions. It was such a fun addition to this lively dance-filled reception, and of course their reaction was priceless.
I wish nothing but the best for these sweet newlyweds, and know that they will have a lifetime full of laughs and happiness. Enjoy!
