If historic stone churches, your grandmother’s lace, fluffy blush dahlias and peonies, and the blue ridge mountains as a backdrop sound like a fairytale to you, then you are going to swoon over this gorgeous high country wedding. Last Saturday Casey and I had the pleasure of capturing the fairytale that was Laura and Aaron Pritchard’s North Carolina mountain wedding. Laura and Aaron met through their college Chorale voice class and they quickly bonded over their love of opera music. They are seriously the sweetest couple and you can feel their love for each other as soon as you meet them. Laura looked stunning in her gorgeous lace veil that was made from her grandmother’s wedding dress that had been passed down from her mother, to her sister, and now to her. I love capturing each and every detail, especially ones like this that have so much history and meaning for the whole family. The historic Crossnore Presbyterian Church was where these two had their first kiss as husband and wife and it looked like something out of a story book with all the old stone and stained glass windows. After their ceremony we headed over to the Hugh Chapman Event Center that was a gorgeous open air venue that overlooked Grandfather Mountain. Following a delicious meal of BBQ and Mac n Cheese and an adorable cake cutting, there was lots of dancing and loving on this sweet couple before their sparkler exit. Everyone blew kisses as Laura and Aaron jumped in their car and headed to the land of beignets and Jazz (New Orleans!!) for their honeymoon. Here’s a few of my favorite photos…
Congrats Mr. & Mrs. Pritchard!!
