ALL of the roses were blooming about two weeks ago in Reynolda Gardens for Megan and Kyle’s Winston Salem Engagement session. Capturing flowers and couples in love on film are two of my greatest joys in life, and when I can do both at the same time, my heart is so happy! They also unknowingly color-coordinated with the flowers and it was just the perfect combination! Blush and Bobby’s did a fabulous job with Megan’s hair and makeup and it held up beautifully even in the 90 degree heat! These two were so so sweet with each other, but also with us. We became fast friends as we all strolled around the gardens in the gorgeous glowy sunshine.

Megan and Kyle were actually high school sweethearts and have known each other from church since they were 2!! How crazy!? They’ve now been together for almost ten years, and have made it through the struggles of going to separate colleges and living long distance for some of that time.

Kyle’s proposal this past November at Raffaldini Vineyards was so thoughtful and adorable! Here are some of Megan’s sweet words about the proposal: “About 5 minutes into our vineyard tour, our guide brings us around a corner in the middle of the vines and we happen upon a picnic setup complete with wine, cheese, and flowers. Kyle popped the question on a beautiful fall day in the middle of my favorite vineyard – and of course I said yes! He also had another secret – his uncle, a professional videographer, was hiding in the vines taking pictures during the moment. This is a perfect example of who Kyle is – the most thoughtful person you’ll ever meet.”

We are so excited to be teaming up with their fabulous planner, Carly Marie Events, to make their wedding day the very best! They will be married next Spring at Cadillac Service Garage and we cannot wait!! But for now, here are some of my favorites from their engagement session!
