Since Casey and I recently got married at our own farmhouse, backyard weddings definitely have a special place in my heart. They are just so unique and automatically have a very welcoming atmosphere. Tina and Jon decided to have their intimate Summer wedding at their home in Salisbury, NC. They rented large tents in case of rain, and we were definitely glad for this decision since it poured off and on most of the evening. The ceremony was led by the maid of honor and best man, and this made it all so unique to the couple. Following the ceremony, there was a perfectly timed break in the rain, just long enough for guests to enjoy cocktail hour and for us to take some beautiful portraits. Their navy and burgundy color palette definitely had me craving Fall and cooler weather! Tina’s bold red lip was the perfect compliment to her Wtoo by Waters vintage inspired bridal gown and her eucalyptus flower crown. The groomsmen looked super sharp in navy and their red boutonnieres were an awesome pop of color.
The evening might have been a bit rainy, but that didn’t stop the guests from enjoying a delicious meal and breaking it down on the dance floor. It was such a relaxed and fun evening, with all the people Tina and Jon love most. I am so glad they trusted us to capture their special day!
Enjoy!
