Bekah and Sam had planned a big, traditional, May wedding to be held at the beautiful Winston Salem wedding venue, Winmock at Kinderton. But as I’m sure you’ve guessed, the current pandemic forced them to change their plans. Not wanting to wait any longer or stress any more, the two decided to move forward with marrying in May and put together an intimate celebration with their families in the backyard Bekah grew up in.
Bekah got dressed with the help of her mom, sister and nieces in her childhood bedroom. The couple shared a precious first look right on the front lawn before the ceremony. Bekah’s father and Sam built a stunning wooden arbor for them to get married in front of, that they adorned with magnolia branches. Their sweet pup Ruthie was walked down the aisle and lovingly watched as her parents were married. I loved that the ceremony was streamed on Facebook Live for all their friends and family who weren’t able to attend to be able to watch and cheer them on from afar.
Farm tables were set up on the patio behind the house following the ceremony for the family to enjoy a home-cooked Southern meal, with champagne, and delicious wedding cake. The big white farmhouse where Bekah grew up ended up being the perfect place for them to tie the knot.
We are so thankful they wanted us with them on such a special day, even if it wasn’t what they originally planned for. We wish you nothing but happiness and love and hope you can celebrate with all your loved ones very soon. Congrats again Mr. and Mrs. Ivey!
