I have been SO excited about finally shooting my first wedding at Summerfield Farms since Lauren and Wes booked us almost a year ago! I had done weddings there as a second shooter, so I knew how absolutely gorgeous it was. Lauren was actually a bridesmaid in a wedding I photographed last year for Nina and Whitney and I was so honored that she and Wes reached out to us about their own wedding shortly after we met them there.

The champagne colored bridesmaids dresses were to die for and allowed the bright colored florals to really stand out. Deep burgundy and warm orange hues in the flowers were the perfect Fall touch. I was also in love with the floral hairpin that Lauren wore. It was actually her something borrowed from her sister-in-law, which made it even more special! Before the ceremony, Lauren and Wes decided to exchange love letters to each other and it was such a sweet moment. They held hands as they read them, but Wes wasn’t allowed to peek around the big Oak tree at his bride-to-be. Lauren had the sweetest first looks with her brothers and father. Since Lauren is the only daughter in their family, you could tell this was a special day for all of them.

The ceremony took place under Summerfield’s “Little Tree,” which is actually huge and gorgeous! Lauren and Wes became husband and wife and then their guests headed down to the main barn for dinner and dancing. The tables were decorated with eucalyptus and Fall-inspired items like cranberries and chestnuts. Following a delicious meal, the newlyweds cut into their cake, which was surrounded by a gorgeous assortment of pies. The rest of the night, the dance floor was the place to be…and if you weren’t out there having a great time, Lauren made sure to come grab you by the hand and lead you to the dance floor! She wanted to make sure every one of their friends and family had a fun time and I’m positive that they did!

After they danced the night away, the newlyweds exited through a tunnel of  colorful glowsticks  and hopped into Wes’s beloved blue Camaro as Mr. and Mrs. Venable!
