Jessie and Luke were married at the Alamance Country Club on a cold Winter Saturday with the help of an awesome vendor team that we were honored to be a part of. We actually met Jessie and Luke at Jessie’s brother’s wedding this time last year, also at ACC. We loved getting to see this big beautiful family again for another stunning wedding day.
Jessie and Luke’s shared love of history, the outdoors and The Lord of the Rings were all evident in the little details of the day and I loved how unique so many touches were. From the forest-inspired centerpieces, to the pottery sherds for guests to sign, and my favorite detail – their wedding bands that were made by the same person who made the rings from Lord of the Rings.
These two (and their families) were such troopers for enduring the freezing temperatures for portraits, but man I’d say it was definitely worth it for these images.
They began the day getting ready separately, and once everyone was dressed they shared a sweet first look outside. We quickly got a few portraits outside before the sun went down and it was time for their indoor ceremony. I loved that during their ceremony they actually tied the knot. Yep, that’s right, they included the age-old tradition of tying a knot together to symbolize their marriage and it was really cool to see where the phrase actually came from.
Following the ceremony we took a few more portraits and then it was time for the party. Dinner, cake and lots of dancing made for the perfect evening of celebration that was completed with a sparkler exit just before it began to snow.
We have so enjoyed getting to know Jessie and Luke (and their families) and we wish them a marriage full of love, adventure and happiness. Congrats again you guys! Here’s a few of our favorite highlights from the day.
