Casey and I were so excited to photograph a wedding for a fabulous family that we met around this time last year. Marisa and Clay were both in Clay’s sister, Kaitlyn’s wedding that we photographed last September at the Historic Brookstown Inn in Winston Salem, NC. We had so much fun getting to see the whole crowd again in such a fun setting! Their color palette is definitely one of the most classic and timeless that I’ve photographed this year. Gold, black and greens made for such a bold statement that was perfect for this fun couple. Marisa was actually pregnant with their second daughter, Alaina, during Kaitlyn and Alex’s wedding last Fall, so she and their older daughter, Ella, played a huge part in their parent’s big day.
Although it rained most of the evening, guests were kept dry in the barn for the ceremony, and under white tents for the reception. After their sweet ceremony we got a few photos before it started raining again, but luckily the Dewberry Farmhouse has a gorgeous wrap-around porch that allowed us to get even more precious photos of the newlyweds. Saying that their reception was lively, would definitely be an understatement. The dance floor was completely full of their friends and family for the majority of the evening. Mr. and Mrs. Jones exited through a parade of sparklers into their happily ever after, and we couldn’t be more overjoyed for them to begin their lives as husband and wife!
Enjoy!
