A few weeks ago, we packed our bags and hopped on a flight for the first time in over a year (thanks to the pandemic). We were busting at the seams with excitement for Christina and Anthony’s Florida Keys wedding. This one was a long time in the making, like many of the weddings we’ve been photographing lately, but after multiple postponements we finally got to celebrate with this sweet couple and their families on a white sandy beach in Islamorada.
Originally Christina and Anthony were planning a Jamaican wedding in June of 2020, but with travel restrictions they decided to postpone and move their tropical nuptials somewhere in the US. What better place to feel like you’re not in the US than the gorgeous little islands that make up the Florida Keys? They landed on The Postcard Inn for their wedding venue, and they definitely made a fabulous choice. With a covered tiki reception area right on the water, lined with massive palm trees and lush greenery, this place was a photographer’s dream.
They began the day with separate getting ready rooms and portraits of the guys and girls individually. Then it was time for their ceremony on the beach with the Florida sun shining and the palm trees blowing in the ocean breeze. Following their vows we wandered around the resort for portraits of the newlyweds. Christina even made a wardrobe change from her stunning form-fitted modern gown into a fun, floral A-line that gave her more movement for dinner and dancing… lots and lots of dancing. 🙂
It was a fabulous day filled with so much love and we were truly honored to have been there from the beginning when we captured their proposal in the Grayson Highlands, all the way to this perfect Floridian wedding day. Congratulations again to the new Mr. and Mrs. Maroadi! We can’t wait to see where life takes you!
