Uptown Lexington, NC Elopement – LaShanda & Jonathan

North Carolina Elopement Photographer

LaShanda & Jonathan eloped at the Davidson County Court House last week and I was so excited to get to wander around Uptown Lexington, NC with them for an hour after they were married for a few fun photos in their favorite hometown spots. These two both grew up in Lexington and went to Central Davidson High School together, so eloping in their hometown was super meaningful for them. They went their separate ways after high school, but fate brought them back together later in life and I could tell after just a few moments of meeting them that this love was meant to be.

They’ve traveled the world, both separately and now together, and before they moved their lives out of state to Arizona, they decided to tie the knot in their hometown and surprise their families and friends. They planned a “going away party” that doubled as their surprise wedding reception at the Axe Hole in Lexington and I’m sure everyone was overjoyed when they waltzed in with rings on their fingers.

We started at the old court house and wandered our way down main street to a few of their favorite places like the Civic Center, The Art Museum, The Candy Factory and Main St. Deli. All iconic spots in Uptown Lexington that hold sweet memories for both of them. I loved spending time with this sweet and super fun couple.

I am so thankful they chose me to document such a special day and I wish them the very best in their marriage and new life in Arizona. Congrats again you two!
