We can’t get enough of these two and this gorgeous little island they call home. Shane and Alyssa are both from North Carolina but have called St Thomas and the Virgin Islands home for the last four years. They’ve bounced around a bit with lots of fun jobs, and currently they both spend their days on (or in) the turquoise Caribbean waters, both Captaining tourist boat charters and leading Scuba Dives. Yeaaa, I’d say they’re doing life right.
We are lucky enough to call these two our close friends and I am so happy we got to spend some time with them earlier this month. We took an evening to get all dressed up and take a few portraits by one of Alyssa’s favorite beaches – Brewer’s Bay.
Brewer’s Bay is one of our favorite snorkeling spots in St Thomas, and every time we’ve gone there we’ve seen numerous sea turtles and lots of other gorgeous sea life, including an octopus and a sting ray! It’s Alyssa’s favorite because not many tourists go there since there isn’t a bar or restaurant nearby, which means the beach isn’t ever very crowded.
When we went there for some snorkeling this year I noticed these gorgeous ruins right by the beach and all the pretty palm trees, and decided this would be the perfect place for a few portraits! Man, I am SO glad I noticed those ruins because these are some of my very favorite photos I’ve EVER taken!!
Enjoy!
