After lots of Winter weather at the beginning of this year, we were excited to get to photograph Elizabeth and Matt’s Winmock at Kinderton Wedding to capture the remnants of fluffy white snow in the background of their portraits. It had even snowed a little bit the morning of their wedding, but by the time we arrived at the venue most of it had melted, which was definitely a good thing since guests were driving from all over to celebrate Elizabeth and Matt’s sweet love story.
They began the day getting ready separately and one of my favorite moments from the getting ready portion of the day was Elizabeth’s first look with her father. He was in awe of how beautiful his daughter looked and then she showed him where she had incorporated the pearls from her late mother’s wedding gown into her dress sleeves and the whole room got a little teary – or maybe it was just me, but it was seriously the sweetest moment. Once the girls were ready we took a few portraits outside as quickly as possible since it was freezing cold, but they were troopers and we got some beautiful photos.
Then we headed over to Matt and the guys and we got a few photos of them getting ready, as well as a few pictures of Matt gifting his groomsmen with axes which was super fun. After some outside portraits with the guys it was time for the ceremony in the loft.
The Winmock at Kinderton wedding loft always makes an event feel magical with its grand high ceilings, and their ceremony was no exception. With one of their close friends officiating, it was an endearing and personal ceremony that was completed with the bride and groom sharing communion and then sharing a kiss.
Following the ceremony, we took family portraits inside and headed outside for a few photos of the full bridal party before we spent some time with just the bride and groom. We made our way around the venue for their newlywed photos and whisked them back inside to warm up and enjoy the last portion of their cocktail hour.
Once the guests made their way into the reception space the bridal party was introduced and the bride and groom shared their first dance. Then Elizabeth and her father shared a heartwarming dance before Matt and his mother surprised everyone with a super fun choreographed dance. Everyone was wowed by their in-sync moves and a standing ovation was well earned.
A delicious dinner, toasts and dancing were followed by a cake cutting and a bouquet toss before everyone joined us outside for a mock confetti exit. Lots of fun was had by all, and we were honored to capture all the memories for this amazing couple. We wish them a lifetime full of adventure and happiness.
