With Emily and Michael’s wedding countdown reaching the one month mark, I was so glad to get them in front of my camera before their wedding day! Many couples ask me at their initial meeting what the time frame for engagement photos should look like, and I always tell them, it really is totally up to you! Some people prefer to get them done as soon as possible so they can use one of the photos for their save the dates or their wedding website, while others schedule it around a specific season or location they love.
Since Emily and Michael live in Los Angeles and have super busy work schedules, the month before the wedding was the only time we could get it to work, and guess what, that is TOTALLY fine! They still get beautiful photos during their season of engagement, and they were able to meet me in-person and get comfortable in front of my camera before their wedding day. And those, to me, are the most important reasons for doing an engagement session.
Now, I’d be lying if I said this portrait session wasn’t mainly about their sweet fur-baby, Oscar. He definitely stole the show a few times, and I don’t think Emily nor Michael minded one bit. The love they share for this sweet fluffy boy is so evident, and it was nice to see Casey and I aren’t the only ones who really treat their pups like children. 😀
These two are so gorgeous inside and out, and I am so excited to get the honor of capturing their wedding day at Old Town Country Club in Winston Salem later this month!
Enjoy!
