After enduring one of the toughest years in recent history, what better way to kick off a brand new year than a beautiful wedding celebration with your immediate family at a beautiful place with tons of family history? Although this intimate Alamance Country Club wedding may have had a smaller guest list than they originally planned, it was still an absolutely perfect day that Katherine Grace and Christopher will remember forever with full hearts.
They day began with Katherine’s mom and sister helping her get ready at ACC. The country club is very important to Katherine and her family, because not only is it somewhere she grew up coming, but her grandparents were the very first ones to get married at the club, many years ago. Their black and white wedding photo still hangs on the wall if club to commemorate that first special wedding.
Once she was in her gorgeous gown, it was time to head over to her childhood Church for her first look with Christopher. Although they weren’t able to have their ceremony at the church due to recent renovations, the option of having their first look in the sanctuary was something very important to them. The massive ceiling height and expansive windows made such a sweet moment in this empty cathedral feel even more monumental.
Following their joyful first look, we took a few photos in and around the church and we drove back to the church for some family portraits. As the sun started to set we finished up family portraits, and it was time for their indoor candle-lit ceremony. Although only their immediate families were in attendance due to the ongoing pandemic, they did livestream the entire ceremony for friends and family to watch from afar.
These two have known each other since they were very young, so I think many would say that this wedding ceremony has been a long time coming. Their ceremony incorporated beautiful live music and candlelight. It was such a romantic air about the room and it really turned out like a dream. Once they were officially announced husband and wife, the newlyweds walked back down the aisle with huge smiling faces and were greeted with glasses of champagne to celebrate. After a few more family photos in the ceremony room, it was time to enjoy food, music and dancing at the reception.
With an awesome live band, gorgeous blue and white decor and one of the most beautiful wedding cakes I’ve ever seen, this was definitely a reception to remember.
After dinner, dancing, toasts and a sweet tribute video the newlyweds ran through a tunnel of light up wands, took a lap on a balloon covered golf cart, and then said their goodbyes to family before heading to Raleigh for their wedding night.
We are so honored to have spent the day with these amazing families and we wish Katherine Grace and Christopher the very best that married life has to offer. Congratulations again you guys!
