Chetola Resort Wedding, Blowing Rock NC – Kara & Jacob

Kara and Jacob decided that an intimate wedding in front of their immediate families at the stunning Chetola Resort in Blowing Rock, NC would be the best way for them to celebrate, and we couldn’t agree more. They began the day with their first look and family portraits at an overlook on the Blue Ridge Parkway, (thanks to the Blue Ridge Mountain Club). It was a gorgeous sunny day and you could see mountains and trees for miles and miles at this scenic overlook.
Once we did a few portraits it was time to head back to Chetola Resort for their wedding ceremony. They were married by Jacob’s sister under a big willow tree, and multiple family members were included in the ceremony with readings and songs, which made it super special and unique to the couple.
They shared their first kiss under the lush, flower-adorned arbor with the swan-filled pond sparkling in the background and both of their families cheered. We spent a little while exploring the gorgeous property and taking some newlywed portraits before it was time for their reception to begin with the first dances. Following the bride and groom’s sweet first dance under the reception tent, Kara shared a dance with her father, and a little while into the song, Jacob also came up to dance with his mother.
After the dances it was time for us to say our goodbyes and for Kara, Jacob and their families to enjoy some delicious food, cake and dancing.
We loved celebrating with these two and their families and we wish them many happy years to come.
