High Point Country Club Wedding – Chanler & Zac

High Point Wedding and Elopement Photographer

An elopement or intimate wedding doesn’t always have to be on a mountainside or tropical beach (although those are totally amazing), it could also be at a gorgeous local wedding venue you love. Chanler and Zac originally thought about having a big, elaborate wedding at the High Point Country Club, but once they started planning and realizing all the stress and expenses that come with your typical 200+ person celebration, they decided it was best to scale back and make their wedding a much more intimate affair.

Neither of them like being the center of attention, and I truly feel like their 25 person guest list and more condensed timeline was the PERFECT wedding day for Chanler and Zac. The whole day flowed so smoothly and they really got to savor the little moments that are sometimes breezed through when you have a tight, full-day timeline.

Zac got ready with the help of his mother and Chanler with one of her best friends. Then the two shared a super sweet first look in front of the country club before we took some romantic portraits overlooking the golf course. Their ceremony was held indoors next to a wall of windows just as the December sun had set. Following the traditional ceremony, their guests filtered into the adjoining lounge for cocktail hour while the ceremony space was flipped to accommodate their one massive head table. Having just one long table allowed everyone to feel connected and important during their delicious 4 course meal. The newlyweds cut their intricately piped wedding cake right before everyone sat down for dinner, and they enjoyed the rest of the evening celebrating with their friends and family.

Every wedding is unique to the couple and I truly feel like this intimate celebration was SO fitting for Chanler and Zac. Their personalities shined through the Christmas-inspired decor and the touching ceremony, and there wasn’t any extra fluff or distractions to take away from the real reason for the day.

Casey and I were so honored to be included in such a meaningful celebration and we are so elated for the new Mr. and Mrs. Truesdale.

Congrats again you two!
