Keswick Vineyards Wedding – Erin & Bragg

Keswick Vineyards Wedding Photographer

I knew that Erin and Bragg’s wedding would be gorgeous from the first time I spoke to Erin on the phone about her wedding vision, but man, they really outdid themselves with their Keswick Vineyards Wedding a few weeks ago. It was definitely one of the most stunning weddings I have ever seen, and y’all, I’ve seen quite a few.

Erin and Bragg had originally planned a June wedding at the Haywood Hall House in Raleigh, but thanks to the current pandemic, and their hope to keep their guest list slightly larger than North Carolina’s 25 person limit, they ended up moving their plans across state lines, up to the beautiful Virginia wine country. This “plan B” allowed Erin and Bragg to have their dream wedding with all of their immediate family and just a few close friends without having to postpone again.

The day started off with the girls getting ready in the super glam bridal suite at The Graduate Hotel in Charlottesville. Bubbly was popped and the ladies got pampered with hair and makeup by an awesome beauty team. Then we all headed over to Kewsick’s Carriage House to finish getting Erin into her gown and for a few portraits of her and her maids and Bragg with his groomsmen while there was a break in the rain.

Although there was a slight drizzle, the couple decided to continue with their plans of an outdoor ceremony because they had their hearts set on that breathtaking view in front of the fountain with the vines and mountains in the background, and really who could blame them? Guests were provided with umbrellas, and luckily for most of the ceremony they didn’t even need them.

Mother nature was definitely looking out for this sweet couple though, because just minutes after their ceremony ended, the bottom fell out of the sky and it started pouring. The guests took cover just in time for cocktail hour under the massive reception tent, and the couple kicked off their cocktail hour in the VERY best way – with a champagne tower! It was so much fun and I now truly believe every wedding should do a champagne tower. Once the bottles were popped and the bubbles were poured, we ran around in the rain for some really fun portraits of the newlyweds.

After a few portraits it was time to party, and they began their reception with a few sweet dances. They shared their first dance, then there were super fun father-daughter and mother-son dances, and finally Bragg also shared a quick dance with his sister which I thought was really precious. Their reception had all the fun pieces, like a cigar bar (with custom matches of course), a live watercolor artist, and of course a great DJ. As the evening wrapped up and there was a break in the rain we took the couple out to take a few photos in front of the house with the fountain lit up, in lieu of a formal exit, and it was definitely the perfect ending to the perfect wedding day.

Congrats again you guys! We had so much fun celebrating with you two and wish you both a lifetime of love and laughs!

Enjoy!
