Katie and Michael are expecting a sweet baby girl in August and I am so super excited for them to begin the adventure that is parenthood! If you’ve done a boudoir session with me, then you’ve met my stunning friend Katie, because she is my in-studio hair and makeup artist who helps all my clients feel beautiful, confident and pampered!
Since Katie was super familiar with my boudoir work, she wanted to do the first half of their session in my boudoir-studio, and I am SO happy they did! I have been dying to do a boudoir-style maternity shoot ever since I started doing boudoir, and this session definitely exceeded my high expectations! I love how a session like this can show so many different sides of a Mama-to-be. I was able to capture a variety of photos that were both sweet and sexy and they all showcased the beautiful strength it takes to carry a child.
The second half of the session was spent in our 1 acre wildflower field, and although lots of the blue and red wildflowers had already died out, there were big patches of yellow blooms that really made these photos pop! Lots of the ornamental grasses that were green back in the Spring had turned brown, but I LOVED this aesthetic that gave the photos more neutral tones! This feel totally complimented the boudoir half of the session that incorporated lots of whites and grays.
I am so happy for these two and I am honored that they wanted me to capture this beautiful season of their lives. I cannot wait to meet baby girl and see the strong woman you will raise her to be! Just a few weeks left now!
Congrats again Katie and Michael!
