Brianna and Christian were married at the Hideaway at Crooked Creek on a beautiful sunny Saturday in September and we were so honored to be there to capture all of the sweet moments! This was our first time at this venue, and we totally ended up falling in love with the Hideaway at Crooked Creek. The bridal party got ready in the farmhouse, girls on one side, guys on the other so that they didn’t see each other until the ceremony.

The ceremony took place in the backyard of the house, down the gorgeous rock steps, by the babbling waterfall feature. They were married under a wooden arch that was adorned with a few bright and happy sunflowers. A super sweet ceremony concluded with the couple braiding a knot together and sharing their first kiss as husband and wife.

After the newlyweds gave some hugs and greeted their guests we snapped some family and bridal party portraits under the arch. Once all the guests made their way to cocktail hour under the reception tent, we had a few minutes for some romantic newlywed portraits with the bride and groom. This is always my favorite time because Brianna and Christian were able to take a breath and take each other in after all the excitement and anticipation from the beginning of the day.

The reception began with their first dances and then they decided to go right into their cake cutting. The DJ had a unique idea to get their guests to help decide who would get cake smashed in their face and Brianna and Christian were all for it. So guests donated money to either the Brianna box or the Christian box. Like the gentleman he is, although Christian ended up winning the competition, they decided to just both get cake to the face instead. Definitely a smart new husband move!

A delicious barbecue dinner was followed by a few more portraits at sunset, then the bouquet and garter toss finished off all the official business of the evening. The rest of the night was filled with tons of dancing, drinks and laughter with their friends and family. As they said their goodbyes they ran through a parade of sparklers and shared one more kiss in the sparkles before they were off to their honeymoon.

We loved celebrating this amazing couple, and we can’t wait to watch where life takes them! We are so happy for you two and know you will love married life! Thanks again for trusting us to capture your precious memories!
