Winston Salem Wedding – Brandy & Jared

Brandy and Jared tied the knot at a private residence in Winston Salem, NC a few weeks ago and we were honored to be there to photograph it. Brandy’s boss’s home served as the venue, and it was the perfect place for their celebration.

The ladies got dressed in the primary bedroom while the guys had the pool house to themselves. Since they decided against a first look, the first time Jared saw his bride was as she was walking down the stairs to the gazebo to say their vows, which was a super sweet moment.

Just as they said our I do’s and shared their first kiss it began to drizzle, so the guests took cover under the reception tent for cocktail hour. We took a few portraits under the trees and on the covered front porch, and then it was time for the bride to change dresses and get the party started.

With her sparkly gold reception dress, the bride and groom entered the reception and shared their first dance, but Brandy decided to play a little joke on her new groom by playing the wrong song for a few minutes first. He was super confused and lots of laughs were shared before the DJ turned on their actual first dance song. The food was blessed and guests got in line for some delicious food stations which included a taco bar, burgers and hot dogs, and a mashed potato bar.

Following dinner the dance floor opened up and they cut the cake, which the groom baked himself (it was delicious and very impressive!). After an hour or so of dancing, karaoke began and quite a few guests braved the mic to belt some tunes. It really was a fabulous day for these two newlyweds and we are so happy for them! We wish you guys a lifetime of love and laughs – congrats again Brandy and Jared!
